As an organization South Northamptonshire Council is committed to delivering high quality leisure facilities to increase engagement and participation in sport to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of our residents. We are currently seeking an experienced leisure professional to join our new Healthy Communities Team to: • act as lead officer to work in partnership with and monitor our leisure provider running services at the council-owned leisure facilities • project manage a major refurbishment of Towcester Centre for Leisure • maximise the funding and infrastructure the council can secure for sports and recreation facilities.

About Leisure Facilities & Contracts Officer

With a proven track record of working in the sport & recreation industry, you will have experience in sports facility operations, contract monitoring and project management. Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills at a strategic level are also required to work with senior managers, elected members and partners. You must also have a good understanding of national and local sports/recreation issues, health and safety, funding opportunities and the planning system. You will have a can do attitude and be able to work positively with team leaders and managers as part of the Healthy Communities Service management team.
