Calor's Rural Community Fund

The Calor Rural Community Fund closes for applications on Monday 29th April.

Every year Calor offer rural communities, that aren't connected to the mains gas grid, the chance to gain funding for projects that will improve local life.

From the simply superb, to a well-needed refurb... They're offering grants of up to £5,000 for projects that will provide an on-going service for local communities. And, as this is the third year running of their Community Fund they've increased the total funding contribution to £70,000, but and also partnered up with Crowdfunder to give you the opportunity to raise even more funds.

They have three levels of funding available, depending on the size of your project.

There are 21 prizes: 10 x £5,000 grants, 6 x £2,500 grants and 5 x £1,000 grants available to rural projects off the mains gas grid.

The funding you apply for must equate to 50% or more of your total project cost.

Voting for projects will open from 2nd May to 17th June. In order to vote for projects, you'll need to register your details and then simply choose which projects you'd like to give your votes to.

You'll receive 10 votes which you can use to support one project or spread them across various projects.

The voting stage is very important as this is how our finalist projects are selected; those with the most public votes in each funding category will go through to the finalists' stage, where they'll be scored by a panel of impartial judges to select the winners.
