Dance Around the World launched to help keep children active at home and school

Dance Around the World, a new series of fun dance routines, has been launched to help keep children active at home and school.

The free online resources are aimed at Key Stage One children (aged five to seven) but can be enjoyed by all, with each routine based on a different place or country.

Each routine is easy to follow, lasts approximately ten minutes including a simple warm up, and is accompanied by an optional worksheet.

Dance Around the World has been created by Active Notts, Active Derbyshire, the Notts SGO Network, and the Derbyshire Active Schools Network, and features Nottinghamshire Zumba instructor Charmaine Daley.

The first two routines are now available, and are based on Africa and Egypt. Two more routines will be released each week, and all of them will be available online until the end of August.

The videos and worksheets can be found at www.activenotts.org.uk/young-people-active-at-home
