Falls Awareness Week

Fall Awareness Weeks runs from the 20th - 26th September, and aims to make fall's prevention/safer mobility everybody's business every day, every hour, every minute.

Research has shown awareness-raising amongst patients and those who care for them can help to reduce falls by up to 60%. The scope of care often goes beyond healthcare professionals and extends to almost anyone who interacts with a patient. So we want everyone to be aware and to #ThinkFalls.

On 05 November, colleagues from across the Integrated Care Service (ICS), Hospital Trusts and Active Notts are working together to provide a space for people interested in learning and sharing more about falls prevention and activity.

Join the virtual event on Microsoft Teams from 2-4pm to share experiences and showcase the great work you are involved with. We especially welcome people who having caring roles as a family member or in health and social care settings, or any community groups who engage with people at risk of falls.

We would like to explore how we enable people at risk of falls to move more for good health. Sharing lived experience and having the voice of the community and voluntary sector within this space is really important, so please share and invite anyone who can help with this.
