Walks take place at Attenborough Nature Reserve at 10am on Mondays (excluding bank holidays)
Sweatshop Events are looking for volunteers to assist on this year's Ikano Bank Robin Hood Nottingham Marathon Events on Sunday 24th September. It is an ideal opportunity to be part of a major UK Half & Full Marathon and have fun as part of a fantastic team.
Portland Swimming Club is looking enthusiastic helpers/teachers/coaches to help out on poolside and lead lanes. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic about swimming and looking to get more involved with the sport. Performance swimming background is desired although not necessary as the club is willing to pay for courses of those individuals who show commitment to the club.
What do we require?
We are seeking individuals who share our vision of providing high-quality physical activity experiences for all young people, who can assist our core team in the delivery of a variety of sport and physical activity events and activities. Available tasks include:
- Event organisation
- Refereeing & officiating
- Coaching & team management
- Additional roles and experiences as agreed
Best Foot Forward is accredited by Walking for Health. We are looking for friendly volunteers, keen to promote the benefits of walking, who can lead and support our short walks programme. Walks are between 45 - 90 minutes . We offer 8 walks/week and 1 longer monthly walk. If you would like to support a regular weekly walk or just volunteer once/month and on relief please get in touch.
The Erewash Boccia and new Age Kurling group are looking for someone to help run their sessions. The volunteer will work alongside an experienced leader to help run the games.
DOSportUK has an opportunity for a new basketball assistant coach working with the Derby Warriors learning disability basketball group.
The group has been established recently and we are looking to add to our current team of volunteers. We have a session every Monday 6.00pm-7.00pm at West Park School.

The role would be ideal for anyone currently studying a physio or sports injury course or a qualified physio looking to work with teams who would be looking to gain experience with a step 6 football club.

Role - Managing a junior representative side within the club.
This may be either one or both of the following - mid week matches 6 - 8pm
Kwik Cricket matches Sundays 10 - 12 noon.
The role would be ideal for a partnership of 2 volunteers.
The role will require a DBS check, which can be arranged through the club.
Useful Skills - Good communicator, reliable and responsible, lead by example, friendly and approachable.

British Triathlon’s major events team require volunteers to assist in the delivery of the Big Weekend event at Mallory Park, Leicestershire. There are a number of different roles throughout the event each with the aim of ensuring that competitors have a safe and enjoyable race
Roles include start area marshalling, course marshalling, transition marshalling, finish line and registration. You will have a team leader assigned to your role; they will give you a full briefing of your role on race morning and be your first point of contact throughout the day.

Role - To support the groundsman to provide good quality cricket pitches for adult/junior fixtures and the general maintenance of the outfield areas.
Time Commitment - approx. 2 hours per week but flexible
Useful Skills - An Institute of Groundsmanship qualification would be a bonus but is not essential as training will be provided. Reliable and committed. Experience of using equipment such as mowers and trimmers
Support and Training - Support and training from the club and county provided. There will be an opportunity to gain qualifications through the institute of groundsmen.

Time Commitment - Varies throughout the year
